Take one of these Metro lines to Dubai Ride and skip the traffic

As tourists and locals alike return to Dubai for the cooler months, the city's roads have become increasingly congested, which is a major pain for everyone.

Sheikh Zayed Road is the route for the cycling competition.

This weekend, due to the Dubai Ride, Sheikh Zayed Road will be closed.

The turnout of 34,897 people last year is predicted to be repeated this year.

You should take advantage of the Dubai Metro if you want to get there in time for the Dubai Fitness Challenge.

Don't like taking the bus or the train? It's a breeze (and won't break the bank), and we've got all the details you need.

For the 12km ride, there are five starting spots to pick from and this is how you get to them by taking Dubai Metro.

Hall of the Future Museum

Where better to begin the journey than the Museum of the Future? The Emirates Tower stop on the Red Line is where you need to get off.

After getting off the train, head straight for the museum over the pedestrian bridge.

Satwa

The Dubai Metro does not connect to Al Satwa, so keep that in mind if that is where your Dubai adventure begins. If you're using the Red Line, get off at Emirates Towers. Al Satwa may be reached in about 10 minutes on foot.

Arena Coca-Cola

Coca-Cola Arena as the starting point for your cycling routine? It's a 15-minute walk from the Burj Khalifa/ Dubai Mall station on the Red Line.

Business Bay

The Business Bay Metro Station is conveniently located on the Red Line of the Dubai Metro.

Lower Financial Street

From the intersection of Lower Financial Street and Financial Centre, take the Red Line to the station, and exit at Exit 2.

All cyclists will set out at 6:30 a.m., and the Dubai Ride routes will be open to the public until 7:30 a.m.
